About the Inn
Located in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine region, the Black Walnut Inn and Vineyard has been greeting guests for over 8 years. The inn, reminiscent of a European villa set in the upper regions of the family’s 42-acre property, has been carefully designed by the owners with your comfort in mind. The Utz family, world travelers themselves, have instilled their eclectic personal style at the heart of the experience you will have when you visit the Black Walnut estate.
Eight unique and inviting suites await your visit, each designed with a touch of European elegance. Luxurious linens, soaking tubs, king beds, and breath-taking views are just a few of the comforts you’ll enjoy during your visit.
The staff takes great pride in helping you enjoy the secret “hidden gems” of Oregon while you are at the Black Walnut Inn. Whether it is that elusive Pinot noir, the best local sustainable farm for produce, or where to hike or ride your bike; we can help you with your explorations.
The inn’s location, 2.8 miles off Hwy. 99 between Newberg and McMinnville, allows for the flexibility of day tripping to the central Oregon coast, the Columbia Gorge, Mount Hood, and the city of Portland or guests can explore the wineries and tasting rooms of the over 100 wineries within a 20-minute drive of the inn.
Our central location in the Red Hills AVA---in the beautiful Yamhill Valley---offers easy access to numerous world-class wineries and a wide range of activities while our private and comfortable setting gives you the chance to escape and rejuvenate. We hope to see you soon at the Black Walnut Inn.
