Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and thank you for thinking of the Black Walnut Inn!
We are able to host weddings and receptions for up to 70 guests, this includes the wedding party. Our property has various lovely ceremony locations including the cellar room & patio, the fountain courtyard, the vineyard & valley view lawn, in front of the fireplace in the living room and the elegant entryway. For your reception we have the cellar room & patio, the fountain courtyard, and the dining room. Location availability depends on the size of your event and can be discussed with our event coordination staff.
When reserving our property for a wedding, you are required to book all 9 rooms for the night before and the night of your event. The Inn will sleep a total of 18 people. All rates are subject to a 1% occupancy tax. Check in time is at 4:00 pm and check out time is at 11:00 am. You may choose to rent back the rooms to your guests to offset the cost.
If you decide you wish to secure a date with us, you will need to submit a $500.00 non-refundable booking fee and event request form. A non-refundable deposit of $3,000.00 is required fifteen days after securing your date to hold the rooms for your wedding. At that time a contract between you and The Black Walnut Inn will be finalized.

Your wedding rental includes exclusive use of your event space in five hour blocks from 11:00 am on the day of your event to 9:00 pm at the close of your event. House guests will have access to the common areas of the Inn and their rooms from 4:00 pm on the day of your arrival to 11:00 am on the day of your departure and a full gourmet breakfast on each morning of their stay. Valet parking can be provided upon request and the cost is included in your site rental fee. Events must conclude by 9:00 pm and all entertainment must be approved by the Black Walnut Inn and conclude by 8:00 pm. Please note that the fee listed above covers the cost of the Wedding only, additional events during your stay, such as a rehearsal dinner, will incur additional rental fees.
The Black Walnut Inn has 10 round tables and 60 indoor chairs available for rent. All of the other items for your wedding such as a caterer, linens, cake table, outdoor ceremony chairs etc., will have to be rented from a local rental facility.
Your selection of Catering Company will need to be approved by the Black Walnut Inn. Therefore we will need to be in contact with them and they will need to sign our catering contract.
